Are you ready for a fun gate-fold card? This is a card we made at my July stamp class, and everyone loved making this one.
I think I used all my favorite supplies in one card! Yippee-Skippee and Flower Shop stamp sets, the Pansy Punch and Epic Day This and That DSP all rate WAY up there on my favorites list.
The gate-fold card is so easy to do, and it works especially well if you have an element added that will “anchor” it closed, like the flower. The edge of the Labels Framelit piece tucks under the edge of the flower so it stays closed. The key to a perfectly folding gate-fold card is the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
The leaves were cut from a piece of matching DSP punched with the Pansy Punch, Just snip the petals toward the center, and flip the pieces so the pointed end is sticking out. Super quick and easy!
Get a nice, full Linen Thread bow by looping a piece of the thread several times, and then tie it to the button with another piece threaded through the button holes.
The interior has a single flower stamped with a 1/2″ circle of Daffodil Delight and a single bow of linen thread. It emulates the flower on the card front without additional bulk.
For a complete list of supplies use, see the “recipe” below.
