Wonderful Vivid Vases

It’s Pals Paper Arts Thursday, so off my butt and on my feet!  Yay!  Sometimes I need that extra push to find time to create, even though I know how healthy my creative time is.  I hope you’ll take the opportunity to join us in the color challenge this week and set aside some precious time for paper crafting.

I almost passed on this new stamp set, Vivid Vases, in the Occasions Catalog, and I’m so glad I bought it.  There are so many ways to use it!  I used it last weekend for my card class, and I’ll show you that card, which is totally different than this one, very soon.

The colors for the PPA Challenge this week are Blushing Bride, Rose Red and Basic Gray.

PPA190 Feb 6

I used the Basic Gray to define my shapes, Blushing Bride for my main color, and Rose Red for a pop of color.

The vase and flower were paper-pieced with Rose Red and Blushing Bride card stock.  The sentiment from the single stamp, Vivid Vases, was inked with Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped separately from the main image.  I added a hand drawn heart on the “O” and Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the banner and center of the flower.

The Framed Tulips Embossing Folder provide perfect coordination with the image and the right amount of texture for this clean and simple card.

Don’t forget to visit Pals Paper Arts to see the wonderful designs that the Resident Artists have created to inspire you to make some time for stamping.  I hope to see you in our gallery this week!

Happy stamping!

Your paper piecing is awesome, Cindy. I love how you framed this and then did the sentiment separately, so pretty!

Cindy, this card is beautiful and clever, You and Mary used the same stamp and have designed two totally different cards. Also, Sandie, you and I all used the tulips embossing folder this week. I love it when that happens!
