Thank You – By The Tide

I’m excited!  I’m hosting Freshly Made Sketches this week!  I remember when that used to terrify me, but now I know it’s just all about having fun, and, hopefully, inspire you to have some fun, too.  Maybe you can tell by my sketch that I was crazy about geometry in school.

Stamp sets used for this tropical thank you card are By the Tide, Another Thank You (Photopolymer) and Work of Art.  I masked off the center square to do the stamping and then removed the mask and glued down the panels around it.

The seahorse and shell were given the sparkly sheen by first inking the stamp with VersaMark, then lightly picking up the Crisp Cantaloupe (Baked Brown Sugar for the seahorse) with one quick tap on the colored stamp pad.  Then it was heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.

Burlap Ribbon was used for the “ocean floor” and pulled cords from the ribbon were tied around the sentiment banner.

I really hope you’ll come play along with my sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  And, don’t forget to hop over to the blog first to see what the ‘Clean Team’ has created to inspire you.  Hope to see you in the gallery.  I want lots of choices for my pick for Queen of Clean!  C’mon, make it difficult for me!    🙂

I just love your sketch this week, Cindy! Your card is fantastic and I love your color combo. Such a clever idea to mask off the center square.

Be still my heart! As a person who loves water (I’m a Pisces), this card is just perfect! I love how you masked the middle for stamping, and so evenly made panels for the outside. Very cool. I must make this card…so I’ll have to order the set now. Thanks for helping me spend money… (not that it’s a bad thing because it’s certainly not !) 🙂 How did you make the bubbles? Hugs my friend!
