Freshly Made “Be Happy”

I just loved working with this week’s sketch by Tui Nathan for Freshly Made Sketches!  Tui’s sketch is so beautifully designed and makes it easy to make a stunning card! I started with a color combination of Baja Breeze, Summer Starfruit and Whisper White for a really fresh look.  I embossed the …

Pursuit of Happiness Star Box

I found this cool star box in two sizes at a local craft store, both for under $2!  I love decorating with a “Patriotic” theme, so I snagged them up.      I painted the box with a paint sponge and gold metallic paint.  Then I simple added some Linen Thread, Bird Builder Punch …

A Journal To Be Thankful For

You may have seen today’s project before if you’re a regular Stampin’ Up! Blog Hopper, or if you’re a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, but it merits a reminder of what a great gift it can be.  It is from a kit that I received when I went to Stampin’ Up! Regionals in Charlotte in August.  The kit included the 5″ …

Grateful for Fall Trees

It’s time for another challenge at The Paper Players, and the theme is a clean and simple (CAS) card with an ”Animal or a Plant”.  Did someone say “Trees”?  More specifically, I think I heard “Fall Trees”!  Well, I cannot resist a challenge with the opportunity to use Fall Trees as my theme!  (Thanks, Ann!  I know you were thinking …

Just Be Happy

Wow!  Yesterday was a busy and exciting day.  The Pals Fall Blog Hop was awesome, and I received so many wonderful compliments on my basket of flowers.  Thank you to everyone!  I really appreciate the comments and the chance to learn what you like to see.   With so many requests to make a video how-to, …

Fall Stack

This is an interesting “twist” on a card, literally!  It’s appropriately called a Stacked Card (I’ve also seen it called a telescoping card), and instead of opening it like a folded card, it swivels open.  I made it a few weeks ago, and when my upline, Mary Fish, (Blog – Stampin’ Pretty), allowed me an …

Sweet Simplicity

quilted-flowers

My Sunday Sweet Simplicity card was made using the technique that is all the rage in papercrafting – embossed ‘quilting’.  It’s really so simple to achieve ‘quilted’ masterpieces by using the Square Lattice embossing folder.  For this card, I’ve used all three flowers from the Bojo Blossoms punch, the branches from the Bird Builder punch, and, believe-it-or-not, the …
