I love everything about Valentine’s Day! The pinks and reds, the hearts, the flowers, the expression of love, the CHOCOLATES… oops, I was talking about cards.
I’ve chosen to use Margaret Moody’s clean and simple sketch for this week’s challenge at Pals Paper Arts to create a Valentine’s Day card.
Strawberry Slush and Rose Red complement each other very well; the Rose Red looks red, but doesn’t clash with pinks like Real Red does.
The vertical panel was created with the Very Vintage Stampin’ Around Wheel and Strawberry Slush ink, and then embellished with Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim. The Perfect Polka Dots give both the background and the heart texture.
The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. The Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons (a favorite embellishment!) is stepped up a level by adding a Whisper White Circle (punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack) and a tiny Real Red heart (from the Owl Builder Punch).
I think I’ll find a nice poem “for mom” on the internet and print it out for the interior.
Please don’t forget to visit Pals Paper Arts to see the Design Teams creation that will inspire you, and we hope you’ll play along with us this week!
Thanks for stopping by!
