Sweet and Simple Birthday

It’s Jennifer Timko’s turn to be hostess at Freshly Made Sketches.  I’m always excited to see what Miss Jennifer has for us to play with and this week’s is extra fun.  The idea for my card came to me almost immediately, but it required me to take the liberty of turning the sketch.

FMS224 Botanicals for YouThis card was so easy to make with a simple rectangle of a pretty floral DSP (this one’ from Love Blossoms) and a rectangle, slightly wider, of Vellum card stock.  I used my Misti and stamp the main image, “just for you” from Botanicals For You, several times with Memento black ink.  To make the DSP piece stick out like on the sketch, a little piece of Blushing Bride was cropped with the Scallop Border Punch to add more to the feminine look.  For finishing touches, I added a little gold cord ribbon and some crystal sequins to finish the ultra-feminine look.

I hope this card and/or Jennifer’s sketch has inspired you.  Hop on over to Freshly Made Sketches for more inspiration and to play along with us this week.

Happy stamping!
