Star Graduate

It’s time for another sketch challenge, and Narelle Farrugia is our host this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  If you’re familiar with Narelle, then you know it’s all in the details, details, details when it comes to her designs.  I love everything she creates and this week’s sketch is no exception!  Amongst all of her other reigning titles, Narelle was crowned the Queen of Layers quite some time ago (by me 🙂 ).

I needed a quick graduation card for a young man, and Narelle’s sketch made the perfect layout for an interesting card, since I can’t add all the embellishments and foo-foo that I would for a girl.

FMS189-Be-The-Star-GraduatiThis was so quick and easy with the Star Framelits Dies, star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack along with the Be A Star and Crazy About You stamp sets.  A little glimmer paper emphasizes the Wow! factor of a graduation.  This card is great for either gender, and keep this design in mind if you need a card that can be easily mailed, too!

Here’s Narelle’s fabulously “user-friendly” sketch:

This is seriously cool and not a foo-foo in sight 🙂 You’ve added so much interest with the shapes and glitter paper. Great job!

I love this design! I have a niece who has a bday on July 3. This design would be a great card for her! Thanks for all the great ideas you post daily.

Glittery stars are perfect on a graduation card. I wish I had thought of that last week when I needed one for my nephew’s graduation party! And what’s extra awesome about this is that with a slightly different sentiment, this could easily transform into an Independence Day celebration card!

Love your red white and blue card! And of course you added some sparkle…….perfect!
