Another week has flown by, and every week I promise that I’m going to get back to posting more often. I don’t know where the time goes! Thank heavens for Freshly Made Sketches and Pals Paper Arts; they keep me stamping even when I don’t have time.
This week’s Freshly Made Sketches design was created by our new ‘Clean Team’ member, Cindy Lovell, and I LOVE this sketch. As soon as I saw it for the first time, I literally said “Wow! I love that sketch!” and was excited to play with it.
So, now that you see my card, you know how much I love the sketch. I didn’t adjust a thing! Here’s Cindy’s sketch:
I decided to make the tilted piece my focal point, so I knew I had to have a fantastic DSP for it. I used a print from I Am Me that has cameras, a small print and great colors, and thought it would make a good birthday card, especially in that it could be gender-neutral. I layered it on a Pool Party that was embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder.
This sketch is so great that it didn’t need much embellishment. I added a second layer to the star with Silver Foil paper to give a smidgen of shine and some candy dots on the “camera lenses”.
The sentiment, from Banner Greetings, was stamped with Smoky Slate ink onto Whisper White cardstock, and trimmed close so it could be layered on a piece of Smoky Slate.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card and Cindy’s sketch as much as I did! Check out the ‘Clean Team’s’ inspiration cards and play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches this week.
