Sharing the Love

I have to show you this very thoughtful and super-adorable card that my friend, Susan Macquarrie sent to me.  It certainly cheered me up and made me feel loved!

It just doesn’t get cuter than this!  Susan cleverly used the owl builder punch to create this card.  I love how she adorned each one to give them their own “style”, and woe is me, I’m hanging upside down from the branch, which is exactly how I was feeling at the time.  I had a rough few months, first with asthmatic bronchitis, then pneumonia, and finally a 3-day visit to the hospital with an abdominal hematoma from the coughing.  Fortunately, with loving family and friends, my spirits were good through the entire ordeal and I’m fully recovered now.

Two things made this card extra-special.  First, the really fun googly-eyes.  I’ve never seen googly-eyes with eyelashes.  Is that too cute or what?!  Secondly, I love the way Susan did the sentiment on the paper blocks.  Can you believe that it is Susan own handwriting done with a gel pen?!  I would have thought it was stamped if I didn’t know what beautiful penmanship she has.

Hang-In-There-by-Susan-MacqI am blessed to have Susan as a friend.  She is the type of person that goes above and beyond for her friends.  She’s the most thoughtful and caring person and has helped me in so many ways since we first met at one of my card classes.  And, in case you didn’t notice, she is amazingly talented and makes awesome cards!  🙂

Blessings to Susan and to all of my blog readers!  You all make my day with your kind comments and love you send me.
