PPA228 with Wonderous Wreath

I think this may be may favorite Christmas card thus far this season, and it’s all due to Margaret Moody and her uncanny ability to create the most fabulous sketches to work with and that really inspire me.  Margaret designed this sketch for this week’s challenge at Pals Paper Arts, and based on the Resident Artist’s creations, I think it’s safe to say they all liked the sketch, too!

PPA228-Wonderous-WreathI was playing with my Wonderous Wreath stamp set a few weeks ago, trying different colors and adding glitter glue and had set this sample aside.  Sometime since then, it ended up lying next to a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock, and I knew I had to use them together.

For this card, I cut two strips of Mossy Meadow and one of Whisper White, adhered them together on the back with Post-It Tape, and ran it through the Big Shot using the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  I couldn’t leave well-enough alone, and started adding dots with the White Gel Pen, and then it HAD to have Mossy Meadow Dots on the white panel.  I could quit there.  The Frosted Sequins with a pearl in the center of each was my final touch to my homemade background.

PPA228-Another-Wonderous-WrThe wreath was “stepped up” with some Cherry Cobbler Glitter Glue, because I think all Christmas cards need a little sparkle.  🙂

Hi Cindy, I LOVE your card. Those white dots and green dots take it right out of the ball park to a full home run. WOW! I’m going to have to borrow that for a future card. It’s such a simple touch but adds so much. The colours, sequin snowflakes with pearls…everything. I love the way the parts look but love the way the whole thing looks together even more. TFS

Where to start with what I love about this card? The bling on the wreath? Yes. The dotted lines on the striped embossing? Yes. The snowflake embellishments as they fit so perfectly in the stripes? Yes. Should I go on? Probably not. Fabulous card Cindy, I can see why it is your favorite this season.
