PPA222 – Another Reason to Give Thanks!

I’ve sure been busy showing you different ways to use the For All Things stamp set this fall, and I’m not done yet.  I love this stamp set and it seems to show up in some way on most of my cards.  From the sentiments to the images, it’s a must-have for your collection.

This week’s color challenge at Pals Paper Arts inspired yet another fall card for me.  I’m not sure if there’s a color scheme that I couldn’t turn into a fall card right now, because I’m so ready for some sign of fall here in SW Florida!

PPA222-For-All-ThingsWatercolor Wonder Metallic Gold washi tape helped me create some fun lines for this super-simple card and a small strip of Calypso Coral from the Epic Day washi tape set made a perfect border for three beautiful Gold Basic Metal Buttons.  PPA222-Color-ChallengeThe Very Vanilla panel was matted with Brushed Gold cardstock before adhering it to the Early Espresso card base.  Clear Block stamping created a unique backdrop for the image and sentiment from the For All Things stamp set, and a fine line around the edge gave the rectangular shape created with the clear blocks a little more definition.  My favorite part of this card is the teeny-tiny little Linen Thread bow.

Well, in case you haven’t figured it out, the colors for this week’s Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge are Early Espresso, Calypso Coral and So Saffron.  You really MUST go see the exceptional array of cards and an awesome journal idea at PPA.  Seriously, I was WOWED when I saw the lineup this week.  We hope you will be inspired to play along with us!PPA222 Early Espresso Calypso Coral So SaffronI hope today’s card gave you a feeling of stampin’ mojo and that you’re headed to your crafting space…  thanks for stopping by!

….and now, you have given US another reason to be thankful! This card is so awesome! I love the washi tape (I always forget to use it), and the color block technique is perfect to hold those other images! I also always forget to try that as well. Now I will have to CASE this, just to practice! Great card! The gold makes everything pop… super great card my friend!
On another note… yes, we ARE sisters! I just came back from visiting my daughter in Morris, IL as well. See? Small world! Another common thread! XO Have fun and enjoy your time with your daughter.

Love, love the color blocking technique! Cindy, I wish I could see this card in person, so I may just have to CASE it! I bet the gold gives it so much richness that does not come across in the picture. Love how you used the washi tape! Enjoy your time in NYC with your daughter… you should get a good taste of Fall there especially since Atlanta is supposed to be “chilly” this weekend!!
