PPA210 In Big Ways, Small Ways

The colors for this week’s color challenge at Pals Paper Arts are fabulous!  The combination of Basic Gray, Lost Lagoon and Pool Party conjure up many summery themes like sunny blue skies and seaside retreats.  Ahhhhhhh.PPA210-Elegant-Butterfly

This was a really simple card to make. A few punches and an embossing folder make quick-work out of this design.

The larger flower was stamped with a stamp from Papillion Potpourri in black ink on Pool Party Cardstock, cropped with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and then embellished with Rhinestones and Silver Dazzling Diamonds glitter glue.

The smaller butterfly was cropped with the Bitty Butterfly Punch and embellished with Silver Dazzling Details.

The Label Brackets Punch works wonderfully as a background piece with this sentiment and a circle punch. The Labels Bracket Punch is on this week’s Weekly Deals at 25% off!  See the weekly deals here.  Only available while supplies last.

The interior, with the second half of the sentiment from Something to Say, along with a few more butterflies gives the inside a beautiful finish!

  6. Thea

Love this card, but was wondering how you did the background behind the bigger butterfly, did you just use a silver glitter pen on it? Just signed up to follow you and am looking forward to seeing all your great cards.

Hi Thea! Thanks for your sweet comment!

I’m sorry; I forgot to mention that I criss-cross stamped a small area with a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge and Gold Metallic Ink. I masked the edges in 1/2″ with repositionable masking tape (I used Post-It Tape).
