PP56 Pretty Hello

For today’s card, I wanted to try adding vellum flowers for that “oh-so-sweet look”.  The Paper Players Clean and Simple (CAS) sketch challenge #56 allowed it to work perfectly in the layout.  I love CAS!

I also added vellum over the stamped image in the center to soften it.  The shapes were cut with the Bojo Blossoms and Bird Builder punches and then sponged with ink.  To give them some texture, I shaped them around a stylus.

Supplies:  Paper:  Whisper White (100730), Pear Pizzazz (119795), White Vellum paper (101839);  Stamp Sets:  Swirls & Curles Verses (W123015 or C123017), Elements of Style (W118611 or C120045);  Classic Stampin’ Pads:  Lucky Limeade (122935), Pretty in Pink (101301), Daffodil Delight (119667);  Stampin’ Write Markers:  Lucky Limeade (123002 – set of 5 In Colors 2011-2013), Daffodil Delight (119677), Pretty in Pink (100045), Basic Black (100082), Marina Mist (119679);  Tools:  Bojo Blossoms punch (119858), Bird Builder Punch (117191), Scallop Square Punch (119884), Scallop Square Bigz Die (115950),  Accessories:  Subtles Brads (119738), Basic Pearls (119247), Glue Dots (103683), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

Cindy, using vellum to soften the background is one of my favorite tricks. You are right, it does soften the overall effect and give it an etheral quality. I love that you did it on this card. the flowers are a lovely addition.
So glad you joined the Paper Players this week
