Really Good Greeting I Miss You

I love paper and scissors.  Can you tell?  Designs like this are so much fun for me.  Simple strips of paper make a bold patterned background with great texture.

TIPS FOR CREATING A GRID WITH PAPER STRIPS:  Cut the strips slightly longer than the card you are attaching it to.  Lay the base card stock on a piece of grid paper for easy alignment.  Trim off the ends after you attach them for a really even edge.

You really don’t need much more when you start with a background like this, and besides, I couldn’t add any buttons or bows.  Keep reading to find out why…

Paper Grid Background

I’m preparing to go to our Stampin’ Up! convention next week, and I like to leave my husband a card to open every morning while I’m gone.  I thought this sentiment would be great for the first morning.  So, this was created to be a masculine card and that’s why there aren’t any buttons or bows!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed today’s card!

Really cute! I am curious….do you use SU’s new trimmer or the old swing-arm one? I find I cannot cut a STRAIGHT LINE to save myself on the swing-arm one, but hate to spend the $$$$$ on the new cutter and have to keep buying those blades again!

  9. Amy Lazzell
