More Halloween Happiness

Do you love a good color challenge?  Sometimes color challenges throw me a curve ball, but I loved this color trio as soon as I saw it.  The “color challenge experts” at Pals Paper Arts have given us Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzazz and Baked Brown Sugar to play with this week.

Grungy-Halloween-Happiness

I have to tell you, this is one of the most difficult cards I’ve ever had to photograph.  It’s so hard to portray the true colors.  I hope you’re able to tell the difference between the Baked Brown Sugar and Pear Pizzazz.  They both look gray to me.

It was fun to separate some of the pumpkins from Halloween Happiness and give them their own frames, and to use the sentiment apart from the image.  I gave the Jack-o-Lantern a little “light” by adding rhinestones that were colored with a yellow Sharpie marker.

A couple of stamps from Gorgeous Grunge gave some much-needed filler and a way to add a little more Pear Pizzazz and Baked Brown Sugar.  A final embellishment with some Pumpkin Pie Chevron Ribbon with a Brights Designer Button and some Linen Thread completes the card.

I really like this layout, and you did these colors proud. What I am particularly fond of, though, is the subtle texture you added to the square beneath each of the pumpkins. That little bit of Gorgeous Grunge adds so much texture and action to the card. Bravo!
