Lovely As A Tree is Still Lovely!

It’s been awhile since I’ve pulled out my Lovely As A Tree stamp set, and I’d be remiss if I let fall go by without inking it up.  This week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge provided me with the perfect sketch for a fresh design with it.  Narelle Farrugia is hosting this week at FMS, and she designed the most fabulous sketch for us to work with!  FMS156-Lovely-As-A-Tree (2)Many of you still remember the Spice Cake DSP, which was probably my all-time favorite, and I used the colors that were the primary colors in that collection:  Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso.  A new SU favorite for me is the Good Greetings.  I love the wide variety of greetings in that fun font!

FMS156-Lovely-As-A-TreeThe tree was stamped with Early Espresso, the leaves were colored with Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry by just tapping the side of the brush tip on the image.  The tree trunk was colored with a blender pen and a little Soft Suede ink.  And as for that cute little leaf, it was cut with a framelit from the Fun Fall Collection.

FMS156 NarelleNarelle’s sketch is a wonderful starting point for your next card… I really hope you’ll play along with us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Be sure to stop by and see the awesome array of cards that the ‘Clean Team’ has created for you for additional inspiration.

Still one of my all time favorites…Lovely as a Tree. I hope it never goes away because if so, you will hear me crying all the way from Arizona! 🙂 I love this card and I assume you used markers to do the “thumping” for the leaves on the tree? I love the colors and the Gorgeous Grunge (?) splatters really make it seem like Fall. Beautiful my friend!
