Lots-a-Dots

Get Well with Word Play

Today’s Get Well card would be perfect for someone with the measles!   After all, isn’t that was Distresssed Dots are?   Yes, I’m feeling a little goofy after all of these dots, and a color challenge that really challenged me!

This week’s color challenge at Pals Paper Arts encourages us to combine Pool Party, Summer Starfruit and Lucky Limeade in our papercrafting projects.  You have to go check out the designs by the other resident artists, because they made me feel like I was the only one who was really challenged by this color scheme!

Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge #158

However, now that it’s over, I’m so glad I had the opportunity (challenge) to put these colors together, because, surprisingly, I like the card that actually made it to my photo booth!  Well, that is except for the fact that it’s a Get Well card that looks like it has the measles!  🙂

Word Play Stamp Set

I really do not know how I ended up using so many dots on this card and why I chose the sentiment that I did after using all of those dots!  Lots-a-dots!  Lets see… there’s the Distressed Dots background stamp, the Blossom Punch flower in the polka dot DSP from the 2012-2014 In Color Patterns Pack, the Summer Starfruit circle that was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, the Bitty Butterfly also cut from a polka dot print from 2012-2014 In Color Patterns, and I guess we could even count the Pearl Basic Jewels!

Dotted Blossom Flower

Call me crazy, but I actually love how it turned out, and will be making more of these WITH A DIFFERENT SENTIMENT!  🙂  The dots with the S[ICK} sentiment just make me think about the measles!

I hope you can see lots of possibilities with this color challenge and that you’ll share your creations with us at Pals Paper Arts this week.  Need a little more inspiration?  Be sure to check out the designs that our Resident Artists have created to get you going!

It’s a darling card . . . even with all the dots!! I don’t have the Distressed Dots Background Stamp but I’ve always wanted it. Too many things I’d love to have before they retire and too many new items on the horizon. Decisions! Decisions!
But I know I love your card! 🙂

I love the dots, spots or measles! It’s a great card with no signs of your being challenged at all! I’m really going to miss Distressed Dots though and it will remain on my shelf!

Love all the dots! And the ribbon is perfect for segmenting the card…and it is striking with the simple cut ends.
