Lots-a-Dots for FMS158

Okay, I may have gotten a little carried away with the dots on this one…

Jennifer Timko has a fabulous sketch for us to work with at Freshly Made Sketches this week, and I already have a LOT of ideas of how I will be using it again.  However, I think my massive amount of dots may have taken away from the beauty of the sketch.

I started with the Moonlight DSP Stack with those dots and colors that I love.  After I picked out the tiny-dotted paper from Flower Pot DSP to stamp my sentiment on, I thought it needed dots, too, so a used a sponge dauber to add more, as well as a few more Crushed Curry dots on the background piece.  I was on a dot-frenzy, so I had to add some candy dots  To add a little dimension, some of the dots were circled or filled with Crystal Effects.

Be sure to visit Freshly Made Sketches, see what the ‘Clean Team’ has created with Jennifer’s awesome sketch, and play along with us this week!

For those of you who haven’t seen my personal Facebook page, my mom and I visited my daughter in New York City a week ago.  I wanted to share a photo of my two favorite women and a few highlights of our time together.

We all feel so blessed to have been able to spend 5 glorious days exploring the best of Manhattan!  One of the highlights of the trip was seeing “Wicked” at the Gershwin Theater on Broadway.

I could watch this production over and over again!

My favorite place to eat was the Gallow Green rooftop restaurant at the McKittrick Hotel:  It was a beautiful sunshiny and crisp fall day, and the wonderful ambience and incredible brunch buffet, not to mention the bottomless Mimosas, Bellinis and Bloody Marys, made it absolutely perfect and memorable.

Mom had to drink hot tea because she forgot to bring her ID to prove she was over 21.  🙂

Gallow 3Thanks for stopping by!
