Live With Passion

Ever since the Retired Stamp List came out, I’ve been passionate about using the stamps that will be retiring, and Inspired by Nature is one of my very favorites.  I love how it can be used for a Man-Card or blitzed up to be feminine.  For today’s card, I was inspired by Nance’s sketch on The Paper Players blog challenge.

I started with a Concord Crush card base and added another layer of Concord Crush that was embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  The I added a layer of Pear Pizzazz topped with Very Vanilla.  I stamped the image from Inspired by Nature in Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink, and the sentiment in Concord Crush Classik Ink.  I used Stampin’ Write Markers in Peach Parfait and Concord Crush to add some little flower buds.

The bottom panel was made with layers of Concord Crush and Very Vanilla, both trimmed with the Eyelet Border Punch, and then tied with a Concord Crush Stitched Poly Ribbon.

For a final touch, I added a Peach Parfait butterfly cut with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die, embellished with Basic Rhinestones that were colored with an orange permanent marker.

Cindy, this is STUNNING! I love the color combo and how amazingly creative to add little buds to the leaves of the Inspired by Nature stamp. I would never have thought of that – but it works so well. Then… I love this color scheme – I haven’t used it before but it’s fabulous!

Love this card, did you color the stamp with markers? I might have to get this set. The grass could make a really nice border on a scrapbook page as well.
