Just a Note (for you!)

I absolutely love the Flowering Flourishes Bundle!  Both the stamp set and the thinlet dies are so versatile and super simple to create with, either separately or together, but for this one I strongly recommend buying the bundle.  Also, although you can create a better cutting experience with intricate dies by adding addition sheets of paper or with wax paper, again, I recommend the Precision Plate if you like to take the work out of stamping.  I’ve put the bundle to use on this week’s sketch for Freshly Made Sketches by our super-awesome Guest Designer, Cecile Ribon.  If you haven’t checked out Cecile’s blog yet, I urge you to do so, because she is an amazing designer.

FMS250-Cindy-Hall-3I started by masking off the shape of the background piece and sponged it with Pool Party from the outsides in, leaving a slightly lighter spot in the middle and then stamped the sentiment in black.  FMS250-Flourish-Thinlets-2After cutting out the flower and leaves with the die, I did a little trimming on the leaves, added some Wink of Stella and a rhinestone to the flower for a little more pop and finished with clear droplets.

I hope you love Cecile’s fresh and clean sketch as much as I do!  Please come see what the ‘Clean Team’ at Freshly Made Sketches has created for lots of inspiration, and hopefully, you’ll be inspired to play along with us this week!

Happy Stamping!

Truly beautiful. It’s such a great die – I love that you gave it some shine and then put it on the softly colored background – it pops perfectly. The little dew drops are a perfect accent.

Ooh, sponging that angled shape is such a good idea! The soft blue really shows off the leaves and flowers. (And so does the WOS)! This is so beautiful Cindy!

What a stunning card Cindy ! You did a fabulous job sponging the background to figure the angled panel .It’s very clever, I would never have thought to do it this way and I love the result. I love your gorgeous flower too.
