Jolly Christmas

I normally don’t start my Christmas cards this early, but Rita Wright created a sketch for Freshly Made Sketches this week that made me want to use a particular stamp in one of my new holiday sets, Jolly Christmas.

Jolly-Christmas-Cindy-Hall-

I stamped the top part of the stamp, and then leaving room for  the “jolly”, I stamped the bottom part of the stamp, omitting the center of the stamp.  The stamp was inked using Old Olive and Real Red Markers.  The dots are created with a stamp in the Perfect Pennants set.  The word “Jolly” that was omitted was replaced with a Christmas Greetings thinlit die cut Champagne Glitter piece, which was layered on a pieced of white card stock, and then popped up with rolled up glue dots.

Well, that’s card #1 for Christmas 2015!  I think I’m getting behind.  Doesn’t it seem like we just had Christmas???  If the last nine months went by so fast, I suppose I’ll wake up tomorrow and it will be Christmas…

Thanks so much to Rita for her awesome, fresh and inspiring sketch!  Rita has a knack for creating that totally amazes me.  I love going to her blog and looking through her designs.  I hope that if you haven’t already, you’ll go visit her and see how amazingly creative and talented she is.  You can visit her at Rita’s Creations.  (P.S. – Don’t tell her that I forgot to add the little banner piece at the bottom of my card!)

Beautiful! I love the sparkly detail and that EF really makes things pop. Yes, it seems like just last week it was spring, and soon it will be Christmas. Now that I’m retired, I suspect things will move WAY faster than ever. Like, am I really into my 4th week of retirement? Seems like I just left. I better get started on my Christmas cards too! Hugs

I love the crisp, clean look of red on white. And those embossed stripes on the background add so much to the card. Love this, Cindy!
