Hooray! With Cheerful Critters

Hooray!  It’s time for a new sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches, and our host this week is the sweet, clever and humorous Linda Callahan!   If you don’t know Linda as clever and humorous, you haven’t been to her blog.  She’s witty in her writing and all of her cards are so cleverly designed.  I always look at them and say to myself “Why didn’t I think of that?”.  In fact, I know I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating… our whole team is awesome!  It’s sort of like Hotel California at Freshly Made Sketches… “You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave”!  Anyway, on with today’s card:

Cheerful Critters is not the kind of stamp sets that I usually choose, but I’ve been having so much fun with these adorable little critters.  You can put just about anything on his little sign (the sentiment “congratulations” on the sign today is from Something to Say).   The other sentiments on the vertical panel are all from the Cheerful Critters stamp set.  I love photopolymer!  It makes doing stamping like this so easy, since you can see through the stamps for perfect alignment.

FMS183-Cheerful-Critters-So All the parts of my little Critter were paper pieced.  I did make a slight adjustment to his tiny wing holding the sign, because the wing was too small to hold the sign post.  This is another one of those cards that made me smile the entire time that I was working on it.  Don’t you love it when stamping make you literally smile while doing it?!

I hope you find Linda’s sketch as much fun as I did.

Now I’ve got that song in my head – thanks 🙂 This is such a cute card, Cindy, that critter is just too cute and I love the diagonal sentiment panel. BTW, I totally agree about our team!

This definitely makes me smile! That little critter always reminds me of humpty dumpty for some reason (but without the bad luck)! And I love the gold stars – just the right amount of sparkle and shine from them!

Such a fun card Cindy! I love those little critters! It’s not a set I would normally buy either but you’re making me want it! I love those gold stars! This card definitely deserves a few!
