Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Mom’s 80th Birthday (don’t tell her that I told you that!).  Happy Birthday, Mom!

Isn’t she adorable?!

Here’s the birthday card that I made for her.  I’m glad she doesn’t use the internet much (not anymore than she HAS to!), because she won’t get this card until her birthday dinner tonight.

I was going to say that she likes these colors, and I just noticed that the blouse she’s wearing in the photo is very similar to the DSP used on the card!  Good choice, huh?  🙂

The 5-1/2″ square base card is Certainly Celery and the DSP is Twitterpated.  I chose the Apothecary Art Stamp Set for this card, and stamped the image with Lucky Limeade, and then used Certainly Celery, Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Markers to color the image.  To add a little bling, I added Dazzling Details Irridescent Glitter Glue to the flowers, along with a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The sentiments were stamped in Riding Hood Red;  the Happiest Birthday is from Apothecary Art Stamp Set and the Mom is from Family Reunion Stamp Set.  I added Pink Pirouette Taffeta Ribbon and tied a pretty bow to adhere the little handcut tag to.

In addition to being my Mom’s birthday, there are many exciting things happening in the Stampin’ Up! world today.  I’ll be back with more later as the new catalog goes live on the website.  Stampin’ Up! will have the online ordering shut down until 12:00 noon Mountain Time.

I also hope to be able to get the finishing touches on the June newsletter so it can be delivered today; I’m just waiting for the final releases from Stampin’ Up!  If you haven’t already signed up to receive my newsletters, sign up now so you get the email!  (The sign-up form is on the left sidebar.)

Thanks so much for stopping by, and keep an eye out for other news from me later today!

I always think that one of the best parts of stamping is matching the perfect card to the perfect recipient. Could you have made one even more perfect??!! How fantastic! I’m sure she loved it!

Cindy, your sweet Mom is SO adorable! Look at that smile! I can see where your good looks come from! (not to say anything about your Dad…but well, you know). 🙂 I love the fact that her blouse IS almost the same. How great is that? I also LOVE this card of course. I always love all your cards! I’m saving this one in my “great cards” email folder to make one day!
Have a super day… and tell Mom Happy Birthday! Bless you all!
