Happy Birthday Everyone

Happy Wednesday!  I’m am so happy to be back this week with the Freshly Made Sketches weekly sketch challenge!  And it’s a great week to come back on;  have you seen Jennifer Timko’s sketch? Sometimes I see a sketch challenge and think “Oh, I have to do something with that one!”, and one I’ll put in our sketch files to use again and again.  This is one of those sketches!

I had an uninked stamp set, Happy Birthday Everyone, that worked perfectly with the sketch.  Paired with some tone-on-tone flowers from Garden in Bloom and set on a pretty print from the English Garden DSP, this makes a beautifully feminine birthday card that’s also quick and easy to make (and mail-friendly, too!)I

I heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment with white first, and then stamped the flowers on top.  I think that this helps keep a cleaner look to do the embossing on clean paper, and it keeps the embossing powder from sticking to the inked flowers.

A matte of Silver Foil Paper, Silver Ribbon and a few scattered Rhinestones give it some eye-catching details.

See what I mean about Jennifer’s sketch?  I hope you’re ready to go check out the ‘Clean Team’s’ designs at Freshly Made Sketches and that you’re inspired to get stamping!  Will we see you in the gallery this week?

Happy Stamping!
