I think this is going to be my favorite stamp set from the 2016 Occasions Catalog. I’ve already reached for it twice (watch for my Freshly Made Sketches card on Wednesday for a totally different look with this stamp set).
Pals Paper Arts has another awesome sketch this week, created by the uber-talented Mary Fish. Everything she does is golden! It’s one of those sketches that the minute you see it, you know you want to make something with it. So…
…I did a take on a map app for this card. Where in the world is Cindy Hall? She doesn’t even know. The idea came to me as I was having my husband help me with an app that gives voice directions over the weekend. I really would be lost without him! The coordinating Going Places DSP provided me with the map background.
This stamp set is the greatest for making non-feminine cards for that special someone who doesn’t love the foo-foo. With the help of an arrow die from the retired Label Cards Thinlits (I’m sure you have an arrow die or punch somewhere in your stash!), this card came together in a snap. The little “pin” was hand drawn and cut, and I used the White Gel Pen to add the question mark. The other stamping (compass and sentiment) were done with heat embossing. A stamp set that’s good for any day or Valentine’s Day or an Anniversary. Who could ask for more?!
I hope you are inspired by my card and by Mary’s sketch and that you are now on your way to your craft room! Haven’t bought the Going Global and Going Places DSP yet? A couple of my clients didn’t see the potential in this set by just looking at it in the catalog, but I know they are now. Click on the appropriate link below to order now!
