Getting Googly-Eyed!

I never start my Halloween cards this early, because I hate to rush through fall, but these googly eyes (officially called Googlies) just crack me up!  I couldn’t wait to use them!  You just have to see them in person, because when you move the card around, the little black balls go all wonky and make them cross-eyed and crazy looking.  They are so funny!  I dare you to try not to laugh!

I made this card for this week’s sketch challenge for Pals Paper Arts.  I hope you’ll visit the blog to see the fantastic card ideas that the Design Team created for you this week.  Need ideas?  They’ve really covered everything this week, with Back-to-School, Summer, Fall, Halloween, Christmas, Masculine and more.  Check it out and play along with Margaret’s amazing, fun and unique sketch.

I loved playing with this sketch, and it worked out well for me to use my New Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP and those crazy little googly eyes!    The stamp set is Googly Ghouls from the new Holiday Catalog, and it was created to be used with or without the Googlies.  It’s so much fun, and these cool new products will have you smiling and giggling while you’re creating.  Got stress?  Get Googlies!  🙂

This is a super simple card, and the sketch is what transforms it into something special.  I have the basic stamping on the main panel, four Googlies for fun, and then for the sentiment, I heat embossed with White Embossing Powder on Basic Black cardstock, and then cropped it with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  It was a perfect fit!  The Basic Black Scallop Dots Ribbon was a great fit for this fun card, too.

What do you think?  Is this fun or what?  I love stamping!

I hope you’re heading into the weekend with lots of time set aside for stamping.  This is pure stress relief!
