It’s time for another sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches and this week our host is Kim Singdahlsen. I really admire Kim’s style and talent, and that carries through to her sketch designs. This week’s sketch is fabulous and it has so many ways to use it, make sure you add this one to your book of favorites
I chose to use the Sheltering Tree stamp set for the main panel, with the leaves overlapping on to the base card. I stamped the leaves twice, once with Old Olive and then with Garden Green. I stuck a few heart sequins from my stash of retired items in the tree. For a final step, I re-stamped the tree with VersaMark and heat embossed with clear powder. It gives it lovely dimension.
I also re-stamped the sentiment and heat embossed with clear. It needed one more thing. I added a heart that was made with Blushing Bride card stock and a retired (I know, I’m sorry! I hope you have these items or something similar!) heart shaped mini punch. A little Wink of Stella and a good coat of Crystal Effects makes the most beautiful enamel-look heart.
I hope you were inspired by Kim’s awesome sketch and my simple card! Please check out Freshly Made Sketches to see the wide variety of stunning designs by our ‘Clean Team’, and if you’re up to the challenge, we’ll see you in our gallery! 🙂
