I had an idea to try something with the Scenic Season stamp set… I wanted my trees to have lights on them. I started by stamping a very light image of the trees in River Rock classic ink on Whisper White cardstock. I colored the “lights” with Stampin’ Write Markers, and then went over each of them with a VersaMark pen, and heat embossed them with Clear Embossing powder. Using the Stamp-a-ma-Jig to re-align the image, I stamped it again, this time using Always Artichoke. Then I lightly wiped the ink off of the embossed “lights”.
I added a little “snow” with Dazzling Diamonds glitter, a little blue sky with Bashful Blue ink and a sponge dauber, and mounted it on a piece of Always Artichoke that was trimmed with the Eyelet Border Punch. I tied a pretty Real Red 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon around it, and then adhered all of it to a Bashful Blue card base.
This is my favorite Scenic Season card:
I hope you enjoyed today’s card, and thanks for stopping by!
