FMS272 Kindness

I have quite a mish-mash of supplies on my card today…  a little something old, a little something new…  a little something borrowed… a little something…  uh-oh.  We’ll get into the stash after I give proper introduction to our host at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  Cecile Ribon is an insanely creative cardmaker/artist, and she’s come up with a fabulous sketch challenge .  For me, it really is a challenge because I don’t do well with multiple circles.  I’m really grateful that Cecile is allowing us to us any shape.  Phew!

FMS272-Throw-Kindness-ArounLet’s start with the papers used.  The card base is Very Vanilla and the background DSP is from Falling in Love DSP (Occasions Catalog) and the hearts and paper ribbon are from an old SU paper stack, probably from last year’s Occasions.  The heart on the left was originally white with the little red hearts, and I inked that and the Paper Doily with Blushing Bride.

The sentiment is from a Hero Arts Set, Acts of Kindness.  It was heat embossed with gold twice for more of a raised effect.

I added a few Champagne Glitter hearts and a little strategically placed Wink of Stella sparkle for final touches.

Here’s Cecile’s sketch with the circles, and, bless her, the words “Any Shapes”.  *sigh of relief*  Other than converting the circles into a mixture of circles and hearts, I think I stayed pretty true to the sketch.  I can’t wait to see how you use the sketch!  I think we will have a huge variety of interpretations… how fun!  Visit Freshly Made Sketches to see what the Design Team has created to give you further inspiration.

I had a momentary panic when I saw the first sketch of all the circles too! Her notes that clarified ‘any shape’ were the only thing that allowed me to breathe again, lol!! I love, love all the hearts and pretty pink details. And the sparkle is the perfect finish!

Truly sweet! The hearts are perfect for Cecile’s sketch and the doily a perfect choice to accompany them!

Can I ask why all cards, etc, have a .gif extension?

I truly don’t have a clue, other than supposing that it is either how they are saved to my camera or the way they’re saved after editing on Photoshop. Sorry I can’t be of more help on this topic.
