FMS242 Simply Sweet Birthday Card

Simple and Sweet.  SAS.  That’s how I would describe today’s card.  Narelle Farrugia, our famous Queen of Layers, is our host for Freshly Made Sketches this week, and as we can expect, we have some layers to play with.

FMS242 Cindy HallI used the little flower, as well as the sentiments, from Butterfly Basics.  The flower was stamped using VersaMark for a tone-on-tone look.  The sentiment stamp was colored with markers (Soft Suede and NEW Flirty Flamingo), and then re-inked and stamped with VersaMark to add a layer of clear heat embossing.  Add a strip of paper (I used glitter paper) and scatter a few rhinestones and it’s soup!  (Paper-piercing optional – mine was supposed to be stitching but my thread ran out at the very end, so I took it out and now it’s just piercing!)

I hope you come join Narelle and the rest of us at Freshly Made Sketches to see what two surprises we have, see the Design Team’s inspiring cards, and play along with us!

Happy Stamping!
