FMS208 – Cozy Christmas Wishes

Wow, my turn to host at Freshly Made Sketches blog challenges seems to come around faster and faster.  It’s here again, and I’m honored to present this week’s sketch.  I didn’t have anything specific in mind to do with it when I designed it, but it really is an open palette for all kinds of occasions and ideas.  I did think that the smaller rectangle would be perfect for a sentiment, but not necessarily so, as the Clean Team has proven with their awesome designs this week.  Make sure to go check them out.

I chose the Cozy Christmas stamp set for my starting point and as soon as I chose it, I also knew I wanted to use Night of Navy.  But how much?  I decided to really go all out with it…

I love the images and sentiments in the Cozy Christmas stamp set.  The sentiment was colored with Stampin’ Write Markers and accented with rhinestones that were colored red with a permanent marker.

For the scene, I created the moon and hazed over the sky with a sponge dauber, a circle template and White Craft ink.  The hazy skyline allows the stamped images to show up better against the blue.  I used a white gel pen, then a glue pen to add Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the rooftop.

Well, this makes me think about how close Christmas really is, so while you go create your card based on this week’s sketch, I’m going to go work on my Christmas lists… one for the gifts I need to buy and one for Santa!

I hope you’ll play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches this week.  It’s an honor to see what you create with my sketch!

Happy stamping!
