I’m back after a short “time-out”. My husband had a week’s vacation for the first time since his new job (two years), and I ended up getting totally off schedule, so I ended up taking the week off with him, with the exception of a class that we had Saturday. Ahhhhhh. Much needed.
I love the sketch that our uber-talented Narelle created for us to play with at the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week! I’ve declared Narelle the Queen of Flowers, Colors, Patterns, Layering, Fussy-Cutting and Bow-Making, just to name a few of her titles. I can’t wait to see what she’s done with this sketch, and I hope you’ll come check out the ‘Clean Team’s’ creations and play along with us!
I chose to use the circle element to highlight the adorable image from For the Birds. I didn’t ink the sentiment for the main image, but then inked it in three parts for the banners. This was my first chance to use the new Blendabilities, even though I wasn’t intent on a lot of blending or fussy-coloring, but I will say that I really love these already! Can’t wait to get into some real coloring and blending with them!
This was a super-simple quick-n-easy card. The Flowering Flourishes always make a quick tone-on-tone background, with the use of a little VersaMark, and I took it up a notch with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing. You may have noticed that this card is void of many embellishments, and that’s because it’s for my best friend and husband. I was really pushing my luck with the Flowering Flourishes and a single Pearl and Rhinestone. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
