Embellished Birthday Cake

Have you seen the New Embellished Events Stamp Set?  This stamp set covers a host of occasions, making it one you’ll use over and over.  I’ve chosen to make a birthday card for a young lady at church.  She loves cards with bling, so this set was a go-to for making a card for her!

I chose bright and cheerful card stock colors in Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade, along with Whisper White,  to coordinate with the printed paper, which is from the New Floral District DSP.  The cake stamp was colored with Stamping Write Markers in Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade.

The images from the Embellished Events Stamp Set were made to be embellished, and I used Dazzling Details Irridescent Glitter Glue on the candle ‘flames’, Pearl Basic Jewels on the cake and Rhinestone Basic Jewels on the cakestand.  So simple, yet it gives it a lot of bling!

The birthday greeting is from Bring on the Cake Stamp Set, and was also colored with Stampin’ Write Markers.  For the ribbon and bow, I adhered a strip of Pumpkin Pie 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon to a strip of Whisper White 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon.  The Lucky Limeade card stock was trimmed with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.
