Yay! I’m back for another week with the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our hostess is Jen Mitchell, who I think has the most gorgeous style of cardmaking and I like her sketches, too. 🙂 Jen’s sketch is wide open for interpretation, and I went with a watercolor background and a big, bold sentiment.I love one-layer cards (technically, this is two layers) and the simplicity of them. The bright watercolor background makes a cheerful thank you card. I love the big bold sentiments, and these two words are both from Another Thank You photopolymer set, and for the first time ever, I cut stamps! I separated the words. Now I know stampers have been doing this for a long time, but I’ve never had the courage to cut one of my precious stamps. But I do love how these two specific words look together and cutting them apart from the words that they were paired with made this so much easier to stamp. A small scattering of yellow and clear sequins and one easy-peasy card.
I hope you already have an idea for this sketch and are heading to your craft area to start working on it! Don’t forget to visit Freshly Made Sketches to see what our ‘Clean Team’ has prepared to get your creative juices flowing. We’ll be looking for you in the gallery this week!
