Blanket for Baby

Did you ever start a card with no idea of where it would take you?  This is one of those cards.  The sketch is from Mojo Monday Blog Challenge, but my real inspiration came from Mary Fish at Stampin’ Pretty.    Here’s the sketch:

I just can’t seem to get enough of Twitterpated DSP, so that’s where I started.  I adhered my squares that were cut with the 1-1/4″ Square Punch to a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and then embossed it with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  Then I adhered the panel to a Pear Pizzazz base card.  That’s when it started looking like a baby quilt, so that’s the direction that I took.

I created a flower with the 5 Petal Flower Punch and Blushing Bride cardstock, and ‘quilted’ it with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  I added a Subtles Designer Button laced with a piece of White Baker’s twine.  The tag was made with the Large Tag Punch, and I added bottom trim with Pear Pizzazz cardstock and the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  I added three Basic Rhinestones that were colored with a green permanent marker (non-SU).  The sentiment, from Teeny Tiny Wishes, was stamped with Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink, and I used a Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Marker to create a thin border around the tag.  The base for the flower was made with Pear Pizzazz cardstock and the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch, and then a layer of Whisper White cut with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.

DON’T FORGET:  The Occasions Mini Catalog will expire on April 30th.  If you love Twitterpated Designer Series Paper as much as I do, make sure you stock up now!  CLICK HERE to browse the Occasions Mini Catalog now.
