Betsy’s Birthday

This week’s card is based on the Pals Paper Arts sketch by Margaret Moody.  Margaret has designed another perfect, very versatile sketch that I think you’re going to love working with.  I can’t wait for you to see the many variations of designs by the Design Team!

I chose to use Betsy’s Blossoms leaf image and Gumball Green Stamp Pad to create a wreath for my larger circle.   Of course, I had to add a bird to the wreath, so I stamped two of them using Midnight Muse Stamp Pad, and cut one bird out, and one wing from the second bird to create a dimensional bird.

The second, smaller circle in the sketch was accomplished with one of the flowers from Betsy’s Blossoms, and stamped (twice, again) with Raspberry Ripple, and fussy-cut and layered.  A Basic Pearl was added to the center of the flower.   For a little more color, I added a Raspberry Ripple Satin Stitched Ribbon as my vertical element.

For the sentiment, I used the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set, and colored it with Midnight Muse, Rasperry Ripple and Gumball Green Stampin’ Write Markers.  The image was cropped with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  It couldn’t get any easier than that!

Here’s Margaret’s sketch.  I hope you’ll visit Pals Paper Arts to see what the Design Team has created to inspire you, and that you’ll play along with us using this fun sketch!

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you were inspired to create!

Best wishes for a wonderful weekend!
