Beautifully Shaded Lotus Blossom

Hooray!  It’s Wednesday!  With my increasingly busier schedule and my total lack of knowing how to work from home, it seems like making my card for Freshly Made Sketches card is the only time I get to stamp much these days, and ohhhhh, how I miss it.  I WILL find a way to work it back into my regular routine because I NEED the creative and stress-free time! This week’s challenge at Freshly Made Sketches is hosted by the lovely and supremely talented Cindy Lovell.  Cindy is always on the cutting-edge of new techniques and she masters each and every one with total skill and ease.  I envy her watercoloring; mine always looks like I spilled the ink.  Make sure you check out her blog for extreme inspiration and a lot of jaw-dropping talent! I love Cindy’s sketch this week; it is the epitome of Clean and Simple and a provided a perfect opportunity to ink up my super cool Lotus Blossom stamp set. FMS174-Lotus-Blossom-SilverThe new Spring Flowers embossing folder made a pretty back ground and made the Silver Foil strip look more like a piece of metal.  I reversed the embossing for the white paper and kept it forward for the foil paper just to be different. FMS174-Lotus-BlossomTake note of that incredibly shaded flower!  One color (Rose Red), yet all that dimension.  It’s three-step stamping, and oh-so-simple.  And do you know what’s even better than pretty and easy?  FREE!  This is one of your choices for a free item from Sale-A-Bration when you spend a minimum of $50 before tax and shipping!  Another no-brainer, right? Be sure to stop over at Freshly Made Sketches to see the wonderfully inspiring cards that the ‘Clean Team’ has whipped up for you, and if you’re so inclined, we hope to see you in the gallery this week!  Here’s your starting point: FMS174 Cindy L Okay… what are you still doing here?  Shouldn’t you be in your craft room?  🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

This is so lovely, Cindy. I love all the dimension on your flower. I can’t master two-step stamping, so three is just out of the question. Maybe you should come teach me. 🙂

This is totally gorgeous and fresh Cindy! I didn’t have got this set yet – now I need it! Your two-toned sentiment and silver foil are great touches.

Such a great card Cindy! I love that Lotus Blossom! I am regretting not ordering it! Love the foil – what a great accent! So shiny! Glad you were able to enjoy some time in your craft room! Hope you get to spend some more time there soon!

Love this ! Very cool idea to have that beautiful embossing folder do double duty. Clever girl! I am still practicing this flower; you would think it would be easy since I adore 2 step stamping. I am convinced my 3 flowers don’t match up exactly. I swear I put that little tab in the exact same spot on every block; I even use 3 blocks to be sure, and it’s still “off” just a tad. Makes me crazy, but I will keep at it. Love yours in Rose Red, a color I hardly use. Beautiful!
