Amy O’Neill is our host this week at Freshly Made Sketches, and I LOVE the sketch that she’s created for us to play with! I love Amy’s style, and her sketches are always ones that I love to work with and get so much inspiration from. This one is no exception!
First, my card:
This was my first chance to break out my new Flower Patch stamp set an d the coordinating Framelits, Flower Fair. I can hardly wait to play with it again. One thing that’s very apparent from the first time you use this bundle… the sky is the limit. This will probably be my best investment this year! You’re only getting basically a peek of very few components of the bundle. I can’t wait to use them for two-step (and more!) stamping.
The Gold Foil center piece for the flower was cut with the NEW Little Pieces Embosslits die and topped off with a Subtles Candy Dot. Beneath the Gold Foil pieces, a few wisps of frayed Gold Baker’s Twine gave this card some much-needed textile. The flower was layered over strips of Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape (Gold).
To coordinate with the Strawberry Slush card base and the gold elsewhere on the card, I created a two-tone sentiment, part in Gold Embossing and part in Strawberry Slush ink.
To complete the card, I added a few splatters with a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge, a few gold sequins and a few rhinestones. Presto!
I hope you’ll check out the fabulous designs that the ‘Clean Team’ has prepared to get you excited, and that you’ll play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches with Amy’s fabulous sketch as your starting point!
