Raise your hand if you love clean and simple cards. (In case you didn’t see it, my hand just flew up.) I know it’s a favorite of many. That’s one of the reasons that I love playing along with Freshly Made Sketches as a Design Team member.
This week, our Super-Clean Team Member, Linda Callahan, has created our sketch. Linda’s sketches are always easy-to-work-with and clean and simple, and I’ve seen some of the most gorgeous cards created based on Linda’s sketches (this week included!). I combined Linda’s sketch with MFT’s Recipe for Happiness stamp set:
Sometimes it’s so hard to get colors correct when editing photos, and Blackberry Bliss is one of those colors that are extremely hard to photograph. It looks black in the photo, but there is Blackberry Bliss in the DSP and the thin strip of matting is also Blackberry Bliss. I had hoped that the DSP looked enough like olive branches with the green and “black olive” colored leaves/berries. I stamped the sentiment and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder directly on the panel, created some shadow for the figure, and add a few black Candy Dots. The Chef was quickly trimmed with a coordinating die and he’s popped up on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed today’s clean and simple card with the most adorable little chef, and I hope you’ll leave me to go see what the Clean Team gals at Freshly Made Sketches have conjured up in their craft spaces for your pleasure and inspiration. We all hope you’ll join us this week and share your card in our gallery.
