A Surprise For Rita!

Today the Freshly Made Sketches Clean Team is hosting a very special treat… a SURPRISE Blog Hop for Rita Wright!  For those of you who don’t already know, our Clean Team Member, Rita, is expecting a baby in just about a month.  Congratulations, Rita!  And to surprise Rita even more, we’re using HER sketch for the cards!  This is Rita’s last sketch before she takes a leave from Freshly Made Sketches.  So, without further ado, this one’s for you, Rita!

I attempted to make the panel on the left look like a baby blanket, with seam binding and all!  The base case is Certainly Celery, and the ‘blanket’ is made with squares of Pink Pirouette and Twitterpated DSP, then run through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  The ‘blanket seam binding’ is Pink Pirouette 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon.

Since I don’t have a lot of supplies for making baby cards, I turned to My Digital Studio for a little help.  The adorable little foot prints are from the aptly named Baby Prints Brush Stamp download.

The image on the tag was printed from the Punch Bunch Stamp Brush Set, and was then cut out with the Extra-Large Tag Punch.  Too easy!  I adorned the corners of the card with some Basic Pearls for a final touch.

You’ve probably come here from Ann Schach’s The Stampin’ Schach blog, and the next stop on the hop is Erna Logtenberg’s Elog Cards.  If you get lost along the way, just visit Freshly Made Sketches (or see the full list of links below) to get back on track.

Also, please a moment to stop by Rita’s blog at Rita’s Creations to leave a note of love and well-wishes!

Thanks for hopping by!
