This card was made with one of my favorite stamps that I’ve ever bought from MFT – it’s Who’s That Girl (WTG) Musical Girl. It was also made with the inspiration by Amy O’Neill’s fabulous sketch (inspired my shaker card) for this week’s challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. Our super-sweet Amy always creates clean and easy to work with sketches. Thanks, Amy!
Even though I was extremely tempted to add some color, especially since I love coloring this particular image, but I forced myself to keep it black and white with the exception of gold sequins. This card was super simple to make. I stamped the sentiment and a few musical notes on the base card, then built the shaker part from there. The little music die cuts are were also from My Favorite Things. I don’t know the availability because I purchased it so long ago.
I need to add something to the image and since I had eliminated the option of color, I added Crystal Effects to the keyboard: two layers with the first being over the entire keyboard and the second just on the ebonies. What a fun card this will be to send!
Amy’s great sketch is versatile and we can’t wait to see what occasion you use it for! Don’t forget to stop by Freshly Made Sketches to see what our Design Team has created to inspire you this week.
