A Pocket Card Using a Small Envelope

Kudos to Jennifer Brum for the fabulous sketch that she created for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge!  It’s unique, fun and very inspirational.  I was inspired to create a pocket card by using a small 3 x 3 envelope.

Thinlits-Pocket-Card

The fun color combo came from the Color Coach:  Island Indigo paired with Pool Party and Calypso Coral.  Despite the Calypso Coral Baker’s Twine, I think this birthday card would work well for a man, too.

The “yay”, chevron pieces and stars were all cut with dies from the Circle Card Thinlits set.  I cut the exclamation point freehand.

The Envelope Liners Framelits dies were used both to use as the pocket card (Pool Party card stock) and also to line the envelope (see photo above).

I used two stamp sets:  Label Love for the Birthday Greeting (buy the Label Love Stamp Set with the Artisan Label Punch in a bundle for a 15% savings!), and the Gorgeous Grunge for the “splatter”.  I am so grateful for the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set since I’ve never been able do the splatter-look without wrecking my card! Pocket-Card-with-Small-Enve

I hope you’ll join us at Freshly Made Sketches and show us how Jennifer’s fabulous sketch inspired YOU!
