Welcome to the December Pals Hop! This month, we’re featuring Birthday themed cards and projects! I hope you enjoy the hop and the amazing creations that the Pals have come up with.
You’ve likely hopped over from Nina Dee at Deesigns by Nina Dee; I’m stop number 17 on the Pals Hop and I’m glad you hopped in! I’ll help you “hop along” from blog to blog where you’ll find great ideas for Birthday paper projects from the Stampin’ Pretty Pals! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you’ll be back on track!
For today’s Birthday-themed hop, I’ve made His and Hers cards using the same design:
I made “Hers” first. Some pretty paper from Beyond the Garden DSP, flowery buttons and pearls, and a sentiment from Perfect Punches. Very hers. But as I was finishing it up, I thought, hmmmm, this design would make a great Man-Card, too. So I had to give it a go:
Change the DSP to Well Worn, add brads instead of buttons and pearls, and a more masculine-looking sentiment from Happiest Birthday Wishes, and voila! Same design, very different look. The complete lists of supplies for each card are below.
Hop along for more inspiring ideas from Benjamin Turner of He Stamps, stop number 18 on the December Pals Hop! Thanks for “hopping” by!

Oh my goodness, what great inspriation you have provided with these cards!! Love the feminine card with the pearl ladden flower buttons (what a cute idea) but I make a lot of masculine birthday cards for co-workers and relatives, and yours is a great “out of the box” change from more basic or more grungy designs. TFS!!

I love this idea. I have 2 children born on the same day, 4 years apart. Never thought to do 2 versions of the same card. Thanks for sharing.

Okay, both cards are fantastic, but I am smitten with the flowers with their pearl centers traveling along the large trim strip – just precious!
