I was blog hopping yesterday, when I was relaxing and taking a breather, and came across an entry in The Play Date Cafe. I was immediately entice by the colors in this challenge:
Isn’t that lucious? So I decided to play along. Here’s how I used the colors:

I’ll admit that it turned out to be a little bit more of a challenge than I anticipated. I really didn’t want to use too much of the pinky-fleshy tone. I don’t know if it’s this bug I’ve caught or what, but too much of it reminded me of Pepto-Bismol. Ick. So I decided to use my old standby, Elements of Style and Craft Ink to create a DSP of pink on Crumb Cake cardstock and for the base card, I created tone-on-tone with VersaMark. A few touches of Marina Mist and Basic Pearls, and I came up with this super soft and serene sympathy card.
SUPPLIES: Paper: Crumb Cake and Marina Mist; Stamp Sets: Elements of Style and Teeny Tiny Wishes; Ink: Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Classic, VersaMark and Blush Blossom Craft (Retired); Tools: Top Note Die, Scallop Oval Punch and Large Oval Punch; Finishing Touches: Dazzling Details, Basic Pearls and Crumb Cake Seam Binding.
I hope you enjoyed this creation! Thanks for stopping by! Gotta run now… I have a newsletter to get out tomorrow!
