I’m so excited to bring you my very first project as a Guest Designer for The Paper Players! I’ll be a Guest Designer for the month of October and I am so honored to be able to play along with the awesome Paper Players Design Team. So, without further ado, here’s this week’s theme challenge by LeAnne:

Oohhhhhh. Aaahhhhhhh. Music. I love music. Now, here’s the unbelievable part. I just discovered that I do not have ANY music related stamping supplies. What?! How did that happen? Stampin’ Up! Digital Downloads to the rescue once again! A 95 cent digital download, Music Notes, printed in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla cardstock, saves the day. Whew! That was a close call!

In addition to getting the chance to play with My Digital Studio, I also took a try at making a fabric flower with the New Spice Cake Designer Fabric. Isn’t that a gorgeous flower? And SO SIMPLE to make with the help of the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die. I enhanced the fabric flower with Victoria 5/8″ Crochet Trim. I guess you could call that “Faux Leaves” ???

The sentiment is from the Heard from the Heart stamp set, but re-aligned by using the Stamp-a-Ma-Jig and Stampin’ Write Markers. I also added some dots around the border of the card and around the sentiment with a Pool Party Stampin’ Write Marker to give the edges a little definition.

I hope you enjoyed this project and have been inspired to use some Stampin’ Up! Digital Downloads to fill holes in your stash and also to make some fabric flowers to add to your cards, gifts and wraps. For more inspiration, don’t forget to visit The Paper Players to see what the Design Team created for you!
Thanks for stopping by!

Love your card. My first thought was, “does Bryce know you cut up some of his sheet music?” Cool idea. I just got MDS. Still trying to figure out how to use it. LOL

Fabulous card! I love all of your different elements!!!!! The fabric flower, and the way you worked the crochet trim. I also like how you added the little dots to the label – works wonderfully. And printing off those notes from the MDS makes sure that they’re all evening “inked” and straight. Beautiful work.

OK… so you already know what I’m going to say, right? GORGEOUS AS ALWAYS! I don’t have the digital downloads because I thought I’d never have a use for it. However, in a pinch, I guess it comes to the rescue! I may change my mind some day… Great card Cindy. Love that fabric flower too! TFS!

Beautiful Cindy! I can’t believe you made all those dots yourself–what a great touch! The flower is gorgeous and I love the scored lines–they coordinate perfectly with the music lines! Way to use a hybrid element too. So glad you are stamping with us this month! (hugs)

So pretty, Cindy! I love that flower; I have that die picked out as my birthday present for myself in December.
